About Me

Musical Background

My musical journey began at age 5 at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where I spent a decade studying cello and music theory.

During these formative years, I also sang with the Palestrina Choir (ages 7-11)—an experience that, despite its challenges, exposed me to a rich repertoire of choral music.

At 13, I briefly studied piano before choosing to continue my learning independently as I began exploring composition.

The most transformative period of my education came much later on, through studying music production with Chris LaRue Horton. Over two years, our intended hour-long lessons often extended to marathon 4-8 hour sessions, where his comprehensive teaching approach and dedication helped shape my current production style. Chris remains my role model today, and the knowledge and resources he shared with me continue to influence my work.

Composers & Music That Inspires Me

My favourite composers are among the likes of Hans Zimmer, Justin Hurwitz, Joe Hisaishi, and Kevin Penkin, alongside the incredible music team at Riot Games.

If I had to point to specific soundtracks that hit home, the music of La La Land and Arcane are huge influences on the kind of emotional depth and energy I love bringing into my own writing.

Other non-film albums that have significantly influenced me include Days Gone By by Bob Moses, Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, and the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack by Lorien Testard

I also enjoy listen to many other genres, including K-pop, Classical, Rap and countless others that cannot be named without writing a book!

Current Focus

Right now, I’m enrolled at Thinkspace’s Masters Degree Program in Professional Film Composition as the youngest ever to enroll at 18, while working closely with Producer Gordon Lewis on upcoming film projects.

Aside from that, I’m always looking out for other indie projects, and meeting new people, in and outside of media!

Beyond the Score

Aside from music, I really love playing video games and rock climbing. I go bouldering almost every week and I love playing all sorts of games.

I enjoy playing Valorant the most, but my other favourite games are Expedition 33, GTAV Online, Rimworld and Cities: Skylines (I really enjoy simulation games)

I used to be a rock climbing instructor when I was 16, and I climbed roughly 7c/7c+ (v9/v10), but nowadays I am much more casual and hover around 6c-7a+ (v5-v7).

Aside from those two, I absolutely love film. My dad really ignited the spark during the Covid lockdown when I was 13, where he got me to watch many of the IMDb top 250 films, letting me discover just a fraction of some truly great film making from such a young age.

Irish Maverick

Happy to be a part of the release of Author and Producer Gordon Lewis's latest book. Irish society, and more so the Catholic Church, turned its back on the forgotten and destitute. But one man did not: Frank Duff.

He was seen as the oddball and a tenacious Irish maverick who dared to stand up to Ireland's most powerful and controlling archbishops. Driven by fear and jealousy, they tried to silence him.
